The timber side, made from solid Camphor Laurel, is the working surface for chopping, slicing, and serving directly. The resin side is a hand-poured decorative finish, designed to be displayed rather than used as a chopping surface.     The resin finish is heat-sensitive. Never place hot pans, plates, or food directly on the resin side. Use a trivet or a barrier such as parchment paper. The timber side handles warm food well.

    Acidic foods can mark the resin if left in direct contact for too long. Use the timber side, or place parchment paper over the resin, when serving anything acidic.
